Whale and Dolphin Watching: Half Day

About the Experience

The Azores are currently one of the largest whale sanctuaries in the world. Between common and rare and resident and migratory species, one can spot 25 different types of cetaceans in Azorean waters. The number is impressive and represents a third of all existing species. We are a unique ecosystem.

With the presence of majestic whales and playful dolphins, the blue of the Atlantic becomes even more magical and blessed around these nine islands. And it brings to the present, when preservation is the key word, an old cry: "Whale in sight!"

Between a whale chant and the spray of a sperm whale, between playful dolphins and the stroll of pilot whales, the dream fades and paradise appears.

* Please note that this activity is not recommended for people who suffer from back or hip problems. This is a smaller semi-rigid (rubber) boat, in which the water impact is more noticeable.
